The Honest Company Review Diapers/Wipes

Jessica Alba started The Honest Company with Chris Gavigan, to make affordable, non-toxic, eco-friendly products. They really have expanded their lines to include an array of products all the way down to sunscreen and laundry detergent and floor cleaner, but I'm focusing on what I have used so far which is the diapers and wipes.
Above here is a photo of the packages you'd receive in a bundle. A bundle is their monthly subscription for diapers and wipes. You get 6 jumbo packages of diapers and 4 packages of wipes. The bundle is $79.95 a month, however you are able to push back your subscription if you need to wait longer for more diapers & wipes, or until your paycheck comes. Also, you can cancel your subscription at ANY time. You do have to call to cancel but they are super nice, and very easy to cancel.

The best thing about their diapers are the designs! They are so incredibly cute, for boys and girls! No need to worry about needing a diaper cover anymore, these are so cute and you can opt for different designs when ordering a bundle, you can even change the designs and sizes right online for your next bundle. I used the diapers on my son, and they are equally as good as any other name brand. I haven't had any leaks so far in these diapers, but I did have a leak with Huggies so far, so I would say these are better! I have only had one month subscription so far and have gotten through about half the month since my bundle arrived and I LOVE them so far. It does seem like it would be just enough for a one month supply. My husbands cousin is also a subscriber and she said she has a lot of wipes left over because she doesnt use that many, but I seem to be using them enough to probably use up the 4 packages a month.

Right now when you order a bundle you can get 35% off. Normally a bundle is $79.95 but until June 12th if you type in the code DM35OFF you can get a bundle for around $52 shipped! Click HERE to sign up and look around and see if a bundle is for you!

Please use the link below to get your bundle or sign up for a free trial! Free trial is only $5.95 but you must cancel within 7 days of receiving your trial or you will be charged for a bundled subscription!

Ribs & Sleep

Can't believe how fast time has went by, but doesn't it always when your having fun? Having fun or sleep deprived. Yep, I said it..as much fun as it is to bring a new baby into the world and especially watching my oldest interact with my newest, I am totally a walking zombie. Appointments go by that I have completely forgotten about, I've forgotten to make my own appointments, missed paperwork deadlines, forgot about homework, forgot to return phone calls, and more!

However, as sleep deprived as I am...my son is getting his slumbers. He is 1 month old now, and he is starting to stay awake and become more alert throughout the day. He still mostly sleeps, though. So far I have been blessed with a calm baby. I've recognized his cries and pinpointed them to "hungry", "change diaper", "rock me". Thats pretty much it. Heres a new photo of him dreaming away...

I was extremely exhausted yesterday, but still managed to remember to get the ribs out of the freezer so they'd be ready to cook today. Amazingly enough, I also remembered today to start them in the over early enough to let them cook a few hours. This was my first time attempting to cook ribs in the oven, and the last 20 minutes we did put them on the grill. They were really good and tender, and my super picky eater even tried it and loved it!

Thats all folks!

Daddy Scrubs Review + Giveaway!!

A HUGE thank you to a company called "Daddy Scrubs"! They were so generous to send us out a pair of their green Edgy scrubs for Greg to wear when we had the baby. Moms get so much attention while pregnant from the belly rubbing to the babyshower but what do the dads get? Now, this company has the perfect daddy to be gifts!

Daddy Scrubs sent my husband the XL Edgy Green Scrubs, and he was super excited to wear them! He was excited at the thought of wearing something that showed off his joy and excitement so that everyone would know he was a new daddy! The scrubs were true to size, the XL fit perfectly, and he is 6'2 so usually we worry about the length of the shirts and pants, but this was great. Greg wore them even after the delivery for awhile they were so comfortable. It was about 4 AM when I delivered, so he kept them on most of the next day and when we could cat nap, he said they were good pajamas as well! The only thing I suggest is to check with your hospital/doctor on their policies and procedures as to if they will allow the daddy to wear these. I know most hospitals will, but it does get complicated when there is a c-section and operating room. My husband was not able to wear them into the operating room due to their policies, but he was able to put them on immediately after we left the OR.

Not only do they have scrubs, they also have t-shirts, hoodies, coffee mugs, pens, hats, etc. The pair of scrubs you see my husband wearing retail on their website (www.daddyscrubs.com) for $54.95. The best value on the website they offer in my opinion is the Daddy Swag Gift Set. It is a box that includes the following for just $89.95...Pair of Daddy Scrubs, I'm the Daddy Tee shirt, I'm the Daddy Hat, I'm the Daddy coffee mug, 3 pens, sunglasses and more! Daddy scrubs is being so awesome and is offering my readers a discount if you'd like to order! Just use the coupon code BLOG13

Baby Brecken Has Arrived

Mommy & Brecken During C Section

I wasn't due until May 12th, which is Mother's Day this year, but I went into labor on April 23rd around 8 P.M. I wasn't even aware I was in labor to be honest, I thought my kidney had exploded, bc I had the worst back pain ever imaginable. After being hooked up and being told I could possibly go home, it was around 2 AM and they decided to go ahead and perform my c-section.

For those of you who dont know, my Aunt Candy died a year and a half ago on November 12th, the same day my daughter passed away in 2005. My Aunt Candy's birthday is April 24th, and baby Brecken was born April 24th. Coinsidence? I think not. Aunt Candy was watching over us and had some funny plans.

Brecken was born weighing 7 pounds 3 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long. My beautiful baby boy...pictures are below. Giveaway of Daddy Scrubs to follow soon so please follow this blog!
